WHO'S IN CHARGE HERE?
Well … first and foremost YOU ARE! The Mad Hatter’s Parade is an open-source, participatory happening. Anyone can join – make something and wear it, or help animate the works of others.

The Mad Hatters' Parade was instigated by Alex Kahn and Sophia Michahelles of Processional Arts Workshop (whose giant puppets lead NYC’s Halloween Parade, Rhinebeck's Sinterklaas Parade and other processions around the world). Guided by our Ministry of Silly Walks, a loosely-hinged cabal of makers & connectors, we have gathered an amazing group of collaborators – including Hudson youth programs, local artists and creative entrepreneurs – to bring the Annual Mad Hatter’s Parade to the streets.

This year we are pleased to welcome back musical mischief-makers Brasskill, along with longtime tintin-ambulators Djam Gong Gamelan, and other sonic delights.
Hats off to to our dedicated community partners…
