The Annual Hudson
Mad Hatters' Parade
CANCELLED due to COVID-19.
BE SAFE, STAY HOME,and HELP EACH OTHER.
Last May, Hudson’s first Mad Hatters’ Parade took to the streets with a homegrown, community-wide spectacle of wearable art, in what we full expected would become an annual event for years to come.
This year, of course, the landscape is quite different. Although the need to embrace community is greater than ever, the current pandemic compels us to do so at a safe distance. So it is with great regret but with our collective health in mind, that we have decided to cancel this year’s Mad Hatters’ Parade.
Regardless of where the situation will stand on May 9, we cannot in good conscience lead an event that would compromise the best practices put forth by the CDC, Governor Cuomo, and Mayor Johnson. Once this crisis is behind us, we will look forward to returning with you to the streets in 2021, close up and in-person, to celebrate our shared creativity, resourcefulness, and resilience together. Until then, be safe, stay inspired, and keep an eye out for each other.
Yours in millinery madness,
Alex and Sophia
